Thank you to all who participated in last night’s video screening evening ‘VIDEO KILLED THE ROGER SCRUTON’, celebrating the video works of our level 4 and 5 PVA students.

There was a huge diversity of work with very different interpretations to the themes set within the units of study. All work was interesting, created debate and conversation. Congratulations to all exhibiting students!

It is always very difficult to select a particular work to award, as all works have qualities and richness, however, the award for ‘Best in Show’ goes to:

Arthur Trombetta for the work, ‘O’.

Arthur not only created a very nuanced piece responding to appropriation as a theme but also shows the clear link that excellent research and creative development is symbiotic.

Your prize is a £50 Amazon Gift voucher. Congratulations, Arthur!

I would also like to make a special mention to another piece of work that was also particularly effective and thoughtful. This goes to Kathleen Baldwin for ‘Fountain of Youth’. Well Done!

And congratulations to all of you. It was lovely to share the evening with you.
